The Band

ASYLUM is an industrial/noise band from Naples.
The band was formed in 1999, when one-man army Cryos (Dario Sisto, born on 28th November 1981) developed the aim of exploring different souls of industrial culture. The band introduced itself through three demos: "Ploratus" (1999); "Vox Silentii" (2000) and "Rattus In Sanguine" (2002). Their official website killerpig.net - now expired - was often used as tool of visual experimentation and kinda exposed the artistic philosophy and the estethics of Cryos.
From 2003 to 2005, for brief periods Cryos worked under the alternate monikers of "Porno Machine" and "Angel Machine", each time eventually reverting to "Asylum".
During its second phase, Asylum released the following albums: "Rattus In Sanguine" (2005, Dead Love Records) and the EP version of "Mare Tranquillitatis" (2009). "Rattus In Sanguine" received much critical acclaim from specialized music press and managed to achieve good sales among genre fans.
In 2010, a fanmade videoclip of "Barbie Trip" had huge resonance on YouTube. It eventually reached over 30.000 plays in one year, marking Asylum's first hit with listeners.
A reissue of "Mare Tranquillitatis", this time as full feature album containing 16 tracks, is planned.
